April, 2015 - Via webinar, I shared the story of the City of Helena's decision to participate in social media platforms, the steps we took to begin, the policies created and strategies employed, and the ultimate decision to seek a solution to archive our social media records. The webinar was hosted by Morgan Wright and also featured ArchiveSocial Founder and CEO, Anil Chawla.

Three years in a row, I was requested to present a variety of social media uses for local government to mayors and city managers across Montana at the Local Government Center's Executive Forum. Presentations include Using Social Media in Emergencies, Building Your Social Media Presence, Basics of Social Media for Local Government.

With years of FEMA PIO training, I'm considered a resource for local governments across the state of Montana.

Accomplishments

  • Entertained and provided practical guidance for more than 300 participants at a storytelling session at an annual conference of tourism professionals.
  • Provided solid, helpful feedback to hundreds of writers. Feedback includes grammar and format editing, content and sentence structure, and distribution assistance.
  • Provided customer service workshop sessions for 911 dispatch operators, public sector employees at libraries and government agencies, hotel and restaurant staff, and more. Each time receiving high level evaluations and comments, as well as 100% positive responses recommending the training for others.
